Sage offers Restorative Massage and Bodywork.
Each session is a holistic balance tune-up for grounding, rest, and embodiment.
Her approach is a blend of open receptivity and offering tangible reflection, like bodywork is active listening and communication through the hands.
Sage is here for present-moment intuitive exploration to notice what’s going on in the muscles and nervous system; then meets this with tried and true techniques for steady pressure matching, so breath and relaxation allow tension clearing and tissue change for improved movement function and state of wellbeing.
Sage holds space to slow down with table time as an opportunity to just be, feel and meditate with body and senses. She welcomes voicing and expression of what comes up from mind, body, spirit and stories. She honors each person’s life wisdom and their own self-empowered innate healing potential in their daily life.
Her methods include: Contact Reiki Relaxation Subtle Energy Work, Structural Integration Myofascial Release, Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, Ortho-Bionomy, and are ever growing.
Sage is grateful to be building on 850 hours of formal training. She completed the 600 hour massage therapy program at the San Francisco School of Massage & Bodywork and 250 hours at Twin Lakes College of Healing Arts. She has a B.S. in Kinesiology and Wellness, and has worked as a fitness and rehabilitation personal trainer. Sage has gained 4 years of bodywork experience working with wonderful clients from various walks of life, through wellness centers, spas, private practice, and now is happy to be part of the team at Ryan Slaughter Chiropractic.
Poppy utilizes a unique combination of therapeutic techniques such as light to deep pressure, breath work, trigger point release, myofascial stimulation and a variety of stretches to manipulate the soft tissue in order to achieve the best long lasting results for her clients.
How far can a gift of Empathy, feeling someone else’s emotions, be taken? Poppy knew she had a gift when she could feel the distresses of her friends as her own from a young age.
In 2012, she began to experience the coming and going of pains and aches in mirror sensation and location of the people around her; this is where her curiosity for healing started to blossom. Could she help? Intuitively, she started practicing energy work on anyone willing and open to receiving it. In 2021 she started receiving Massage, and by the end of the year was enrolled at National Holistic Institute for Massage Therapy in San Jose.
Now, she specializes in open flow massage. She uses touch and the biomagnetic energy flow of the body to guide her to and through the held tension that can cause limited movement, discomfort and pain in the body.
